WWE Extreme Rules Preview

April 30, 2011
This Sunday is WWE's Extreme Rules. Last year's Extreme Rules was pretty good, and this one is looking good too. It's pretty much your typical WWE Pay-Per-View. Your going to have the big money matches, the slightly understated matches, and the matches that are meant to showcase a story. I want to get right to breaking it down...

- Michelle McCool vs Layla. Loser Leaves WWE match.: When I originally read about this, I thought it was loser leaves Smackdown. But WWE has it listed on their site as loser leave WWE. Being that the draft just happened, this kind of makes sense. It's weird to send someone to a different brand like that when they just had a draft. Anyway, the match itself could be pretty decent. Both women are talented, but I really just want this story to be done. Lay-Cool kind of ran its course, but these two are not interesting fighting with each other. I'm not entirely sure who is going to win. Michelle is more of a veteran and more of a threat. However, she has been injured for a while, so maybe she may be getting time off.

- Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross vs Michael Cole and Jack Swagger. Country Whipping Match.: I don't know what a country whipping match is and I really don't care. This match won't be a wrestling clinic, but it will probably be kind of light hearted. Cole will likely be over the top and get a few laughs. As far as legitimate action goes, expect Lawler and Swagger to do much of the heavy lifting. I'm expecting a fun match. Hopefully, Lawler and JR will win and end this feud. It was good for a while, but it's starting to get a bit stale.

- Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes. Falls Count Anywhere.: After their match at Wrestlemania, I think this has a shot at being the best match all night. Both guys are very talented and this match can go even further than it went at Wrestlemania. Since Cody got the win then, I predict Rey will get the win on Sunday.

- Randy Orton vs CM Punk. Last Man Standing.: Another match that can steal the show. Orton and Punk have some chemistry and put on some great matches. The only problem is that these two have wrestled each other so much lately, this feels like just another match. I'm glad Orton is on Smackdown now, so both guys can move on. I expect Orton to win this and stay hot on Smackdown. Punk doesn't really need to be hot right now. RAW has Miz and Del Rio to share the load. Also, it would be interesting if the New Nexus turned on Punk, following the loss.

- Christian vs Alberto Del Rio. Ladder match for the World title.: I'm expecting a really great match. Even though I feel like it's kind of obvious that Christian will win, the good thing is that we are going to get a first time champion regardless of who wins. I think with all the participants in the WWE title match being on RAW, WWE won't have Del Rio bring the World title to RAW as well. I could always be wrong, but I think everyone really wants Christian to win anyway. Del Rio is young and still has a long career ahead of him. Christian is getting up in age, and may not have so much time left. Plus, winning the title would be a great tribute to Edge.

- John Cena vs the Miz vs John Morrison. Triple Threat Steel Cage match for the WWE title.: This is another big time match. Miz has been one of the hottest acts in WWE for a while now, and Cena is the face of the company. John Morrison is a rising star, even though he's kind of an afterthought in this match. I'm expecting Miz to win this match, and I'm also expecting some involvement from R-Truth.

Overall, the card looks pretty good. It does look a bit light though. That's why I'm expecting a surprise match or two. Mainly I'm expecting Kofi Kingston vs Sheamus for the US title. I really don't see any other way WWE could get either the Intercontinental or United States title back on RAW. Everyone should definitely check this show out on Sunday. Until next time...

Random WWE Draft Thoughts 4/26/11

April 27, 2011
Last night was WWE's annual draft and it really shook things up. The foundations of both shows have really been rocked. I think I am more satisfied with this year's draft than I have been in more recent years. I wanna get right down to breaking down the picks...

John Cena drafted to Smackdown.: When this was announced, I immediately thought that Orton was going to take over RAW and Cena would soon start a feud with Del Rio on Smackdown. I thought it was a gutsy move and I was all for it.

Rey My...

Tough Enought Week 4 Review

April 26, 2011
So I just finished watching this week's Tough Enough. Another good episode. I loved the appearance by Bret Hart. I wish they had shown more of it, but it was still interesting. I think this week we actually started to see some separation, or at least who is among the best. Let's get to breaking down the show...

Rima.: I'm so sad to see her go, but it was definitely the right move. She had no chance of catching up to the rest of the group in time to win this thing. That being said, I do think s...

Tough Enough Week 3 Review

April 19, 2011
This week was yet another good episode of Tough Enough. We had an appearance from the Big Show this week, as well as a surprise appearance from Stacy Keibler. We also had two people leave rather than just one. Let's get right to breaking the episode down...

- Big Show's visit.: Kind of like John Cena's visit, this didn't make a huge impact on me. However, he did give some great advice to Erik, who seems to have a lot of potential. Big Show clearly saw something in him and imparted some knowled...

TNA Lockdown Preview

April 15, 2011
This Sunday is TNA's Lockdown, and it seems that TNA actually put some effort into building up the matches this time. Coming off the Victory Road disaster, TNA really needs to put on a good show. The big attraction is that all the matches are held inside a steel cage. This can be both good and bad. Let's look at the card...

- Amazing Red vs Brian Kendrick vs Chris Sabin vs Jay Lethal vs Jeremy Buck vs Max Buck vs Robbie E vs Suicide. Xscape match.: The talent in the ring for this match makes i...

Tough Enough Week 2 Review

April 13, 2011
Tough Enough was really good last night. I didn't think there were any clear cut losers in the group. I want to get right down to breking down my points for this week's episode.

- Attack Dog Segment.: This training thing was tough to screw up. This was more of Austin teaching everyone a lesson rather than evaluating them. However, there were some that really stuck out as being impressive. Jeremiah ran the whole way, while dragging a dog with him. Austin and DeMott looked seriously impre...

Tough Enough First Impressions

April 13, 2011
On Monday night, Tough Enough returned to our television screens. I was a huge fan of the original three seasons (not so much the fourth). I think this season may be the best yet. The collection of trainers are great. Austin is one of the biggest stars of all time and Booker T certainly knows what it takes to make it in the business. Trish is arguabley the biggest name in women's wrestling in history and she is extrememly talented. Bell Demott is a great, no nonsense, bad ass trainer t...

Post Wrestlemania 27 Thoughts

April 13, 2011
Wrestlemania 27 just ended roughly an hour ago and if I had to describe it in one word, I would say "unpredictable." I say that because every year I get together with some friends and make predictions. This year, I was sure I would get a clean sweep, but I did awful. A lot of the matches went in the complete other direction. In some cases, I really questions WWE's thinking and in others I didn't mind being wrong. The video packages were well done and the backstage skits were pretty funn...

WWE Wrestlemania 27 3/30/11

April 13, 2011
Sunday is the big day. Wrestlemania 27! For me Wrestlemania is a holiday. This year's Wrestlemania is looking great and I can't wait for Sunday. Let's get right to previewing the matches...

- Edge vs Alberto Del Rio. World Title match.: This should be a really great match and the build up has been pretty good, especially since the addition of Brodus Clay. The fans seem to really be responding well to the Edge and Christian reunion. I would like to see more of the old Edge and Christian ...

Random WWE Thoughts 3/27/11

April 13, 2011
Hey guys! It's time for another Random Thoughts. I wanted to get one more in before my Wrestlemania Preview blog. Let's get going...

- John Cena, The Miz, and The Rock.: This has clearly been the hottest thing going in WWE right now, and WWE has done a really good job of not letting Miz get overshadowed by two juggernauts. WWE has worked it so that people actually have just a small bit of doubt Cena might lose at Wrestlemania 27. The whole bit where Miz changed the title was kind of wei...
